Product Description

These EXP (for Expedition) rods are the travel version of the high performance Oracle 2 fly rods from Shakespeare and combine high quality rod blanks with high specification fixings to create good fly rods at a very reasonable price. All are 7 piece except for the 8'6" rod which is 6 piece and have a medium / fast action, a full cork handle and come in a cordura rod tube.

The Shakespeare Oracle 2 EXP fly rods feature:

- Slim carbon blanks with medium / fast action for smooth, powerful casting
- 6/7 piece construction with a matt blue grey finish
- High quality cork handles (AAA grade)
- Zirconium Oxide Stripper ring
- Stainless steel snake line guides
- Engraved alloy reel seat (matt grey finish)
- Keeper ring
- Smart and professional colour scheme (varnished grey whippings).
- Partitioned cordura rod tube for protection and convenience.

VERSIONS

The Shakespeare Oracle 2 EXP fly rod comes in 5 versions:

- 8'6 #5 fly rod: half wells handle - River rod for trout and grayling fishing
- 9' #6 fly rod: half wells handle - All round rod for rivers and stillwater fishing
- 9'6 #7 fly rod: full wells handle - Great rod for stillwater fishing
- 9'6 #8 fly rod: full wells handle - Great travel rod for pike / saltwater fishing
- 10' #7 fly rod: full wells handle with fighting butt - For larger stillwaters and boat fishing

OUR OPINION

These Shakespeare Oracle 2 EXP fly rods are made from top quality materials and components at a very reasonable price. Light and powerful, they look and feel like a much more expensive rod than they actually are. They pack down into a cordura tube of less than 22" (56cm) making them easy to take with when traveling.

Again, these rods are quite a step up from Shakespeare's previous versions and show a lot of thought has gone into making better fly rods at a price that can be afforded. Good for Shakespeare.
